Compressed disappointment...

Formerly I used third party apps or simply used the output formats from FCPX, Motion, etc. I finally opted to purchase the Apple product expecting seemless integration. Wrong! Compressor would repeatedly freeze even when direct export from FCPX worked. A year later it is still a unreliable and quite frankly, I haven’t really figured out its benefit, even when it does work.

Its navigation is clunky at best, it’s not quicker than other apps. Sometimes it would show that file is actively processing and when you return (hours later), nope - it failed.
Having just frozen again prompted me to write this.

Currently there is an old file clogging the Active list that can’t be erased. It acts like there is a dialogue window open but there isn’t.

Can’t remember what I paid but it was too much.
